With technology advancing at a breakneck speed, real estate companies share the challenge of selectively putting forth new products that will simplify the experience of buying and selling real estate for agents and their clients. Engel & Völkers has spent a lot of time and effort into tackling this challenge, and we are excited about the results.
In Mid October, digital advancement was explored at a symposium at E&V headquarters in Hamburg. Over 200 EV employees attended the event, which allowed participants hands-on experience with new real estate technology such as drones, 3D glasses, and improved camera tripods for innovative property videos.
Chief Sales Officer to the Management Board, Christian Evers gave an inspiring talk about the future of digital innovation at EV. His many years as a business consultant in sales and marketing have given him a deep understanding of the ways in which technology can improve company performance.
Mr. Evers explained, “At E&V, we launched a major project aimed at taking a long hard look at how digital achievements can improve the everyday working lives of our real estate agents and alleviate their work. Many technologies such as 3D glasses and extremely high-quality cameras in our smartphones already exist. We simply have to utilise these technologies to our advantage.”
Go! mobile, the App version of the E&V property search is an example of an existing innovation that is changing our client experience. There will be new apps in the coming year such as the Exposé App that will improve the agent experience as well. Mr. Evers explained that the Exposé App will allow agents to access property details quickly. “This way they save time and can concentrate more on looking after their clients,” he said.
We look forward to seeing all the exciting innovations expected to launch in 2017.
