Fran brings rich and varied experience from a 20-year career in international marketing and sales to her work in real estate. Before joining the Mercedes Berk Team in 2010, she worked for the Italian Trade Commission and for an Italian luxury home-décor brand, marketing Italian-made luxury goods in the United States.
Now a licensed Associate Broker, Fran enjoys in real estate what she most enjoyed in her previous career – working closely with people from both sides of the Atlantic, helping them to sell or purchase something they truly love. A native New Yorker with an intimate knowledge of the city and an unwavering focus on her clients’ priorities, she specializes in identifying the areas and spaces in the city that suit buyers best. As a member of the Mercedes Berk Team, which won the Engel & Völkers award for the highest gross commission income in 2015, Fran has made over $400 million in residential real estate sales.
Whether working with sellers, buyers, landlords or tenants, Fran has the experience, negotiation and communication skills to minimize obstacles and make deals happen. She is serious, direct and detail oriented while always maintaining a cool head and a healthy sense of humor.
Fran is a life-long resident of the Gramercy/Flatiron neighborhood and has done deals all over Manhattan. She enjoys exploring the ever-changing city and new restaurants with her family, doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, and volunteering at her daughters’ schools. She is fluent in Danish and Italian and loves to travel but wouldn’t live anywhere but New York City.
