Anil Babbar has worked with investors and clients from all over the globe who have sought out investment opportunities or a new home in the United States. His relationships span the globe from Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai and New York.
Anil is a finance professional and attorney with over 19 years of experience in finance and alternative investments such as hedges funds and real estate. Anil began his career on Wall Street in 1996 first as a transactional lawyer but quickly transitioned to the investment side – working on derivatives, structured products and alternative investments. Early in his career, Anil worked at Citibank, ING Barings (Hong Kong and New York), and Ivy Asset Management (a division of BNY-Mellon group). In 2004 Anil moved to Credit Suisse focusing on the alternative investment space but was hired away by Morgan Stanley in 2006 as head of the Global Fund Derivatives (Americas) group in New York where he built and lead a team that created and marketed products linked to alternative investments. Fast forward to 2012, Anil launched Metamorphic Capital Management LLC, a real estate private equity platform that invests in distressed single and multi-family residential properties in the tri-state New York and central Florida areas.
Anil has a B.S. in Economics & International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also has a J.D. from Boston University’s School of Law and is admitted to the Massachusetts and New York State Bars. Mr. Babbar is a licensed real estate broker in New York State.
