Martin Purcell brings diverse and valuable experience to his role as an Engel & Völkers real estate advisor. He began his career in finance, working for JP Morgan in London, Paris, Geneva and Warsaw, giving him an international network of contacts. He moved to New York in 2005 and launched his real estate career, initially focusing on the commercial side. From there he worked extensively in the new development field, gaining in-depth knowledge about every aspect of the business, from design and construction management to coop and condo management, pricing and investment return.
Because of his background, Martin has access to a highly qualified team of experts to provide insight and assist him in supporting his clients’ needs. These include architects, contractors, staging experts, attorneys, mortgage brokers and appraisers, as well as marketing, PR and technology experts. He surrounds himself with the industry leaders and innovators that will provide the greatest advantage and best experience for his clients.
Originally born in Ireland, Martin grew up with the real estate and construction business in his blood. He studied at Edinburgh University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Engineering. Since moving into the residential sector, Martin has focused primarily on international sales and new developments, while also handling many resales. He enjoys working with both buyers and sellers, and handles every transaction as if it were his own.
