Kiono is of Norwegian descent and grew up in the Hawaiian Islands, spending most of her youth sailing the South Pacific with her family. She attended the University of Hawaii where she studied cultural arts and music from around the world. Since then, Kiono has traveled extensively throughout Europe where she developed a keen eye for architecture and design and built a diverse international network of contacts.
Continuing her focus on the arts, Kiono is actively involved with Young Audiences National Arts for Learning and sits on the Board of Young Audiences New York, a non-profit art in education organization. She is also Secretary the Board of the Luzern Music Camp, a non-profit organization which enables gifted children from around the world to study with renowned artists and other children.
Kiono resides in New York City and has been a member of the Real Estate Board of New York since 2003. She has been featured on the NY1 Real Estate Report for her market expertise. She is a member of the Yale Club NYC, the New York Yacht Club and The Century Association.
